Public Records Request
Guidelines for accessing Public Records.
Public records maintained by the California Lottery are available for inspection in accordance with the California Public Records Act and these guidelines.
Making a Request
Public record requests may be made in person or by e-mail, U.S. mail, or telephone. Requests should be as specific as possible to allow Lottery staff to identify the records being requested. Requests should be directed to:
Public Records Act Coordinator
California State Lottery
700 North 10th Street
Sacramento, CA 95811
The Lottery will notify the requesting party of the estimated date when any responsive records will be available or that there are no responsive records. The Lottery will notify the requesting party if any responsive records are exempt from disclosure under the Public Records Act, for example, if they contain privileged, confidential, or sensitive information.
The requesting party may inspect public records free of charge anytime during regular business hours. Photocopies of public records will be provided upon payment of photocopying fees, which are currently $.20 per page. Other charges may apply depending on the nature of the records requested.
